I love games. I love HTML5. I love trying to perfect my typing skills. If only there was some way I could combine all of my 3 passions into one super addictive Typing of the Dead clone in my browser….wait…now I can!

Z-Type is a simple, highly addictive, game from PhobosLab using HTML5 Canvas. The user types the ‘names’ of the enemies coming toward them on screen to shoot them. Once you start typing a word you have to finish it before you can start shooting at other enemies. It’s all very minimalist but it works really well.

Give it a try, if only so that you can convince yourself that this is Mavis Beacon In Space.
